Small paws landed lightly upon the soft ground. The thin, tall wolf maw hung open, tongue hanging out. His yellowish emerald eyes shimmered in the glow of the sun. His brown black and beige bod shimmied between branches larger creatures wouldn't be able to fit through. He could only do it because he had had a harsh eating season and was running low on body fat. He loped through the grounds towards the lands marked by a pack, a non-violent pack. Not that he wouldn't fight, he just preferred a pack whom did not believe in harsh methods constantly. He was tough enough to fight, could take a lot of pain, but he just.. Preferred not to be fighting. Protection was the most worthy cause of a fight in his mind.
He stopped a few feet into the territory marked as inbounds of the pack lands. He sat on his haunches and threw back his head, letting out a loud deep howl. Calling forth the leader. He wanted to ask permission to join the pack.

Bluestar had been lying in her den, dozing since the sun hadn't fully risen yet. She had just claimed this land the night before, and she was exhausted from walking around leaving scent markers all over the place. She had caught the scent of two other dogs not too far away. She had the feeling that another pack was forming, and she hoped they wouldn't cause her trouble for now at least.
Bluestar was half asleep when she jolted as a howl echoed through the forest. She stumbled to her paws and emerged from the rock cavern. She bounded through the forest, ebony-blue coat shinning in the bright light of a new day. She jumped over logs and dodged trees and bushes. She caught the scent of a brujo and slowed her pace, keeping herself reserved. She saw him in the distance and approached with confidence. "YOU! What are you doing on my land?!" She questioned.

He lowered his head slightly, as if bowing, to her. returning to his sitting-height. He watched her. Mornin' Ma'am, I'm looking for a pack, I'm not a threat to you here, I am willing to fight to the death to protect anyone in a pack, but am not willing to always be fighting and being cruel, like that of the other pack in the area. this was a lot of words for Stoyer to have spoken. He was a quiet wolf, hardly saying words, though when he spoke, it was important. The words, for instance, had been important. His gaze stayed on hers, though he let his strong posture weaken a bit for her comfort to see he was not a threat to her herself. His eyes watched her proud posture, taking in and memorizing her face, the rest of her appearance. She seemed confident, as she should for she was alphess, but she was not overly cocky, like some alpha and alphess wolves he had met. He himself was a bit full of himself.
((Sorry about that))[/center]

Bluestar stared intently at the wolf that stood before her. He bore little scent, so she assumed that he was a loner. She hung on his words, searching for a glint of truth in them. Bluestar didn't take too kindly to strangers, and definately didn't trust them. She didn't feel any danger coming off the brute, and his choice of words were well thought out and convincing.
She kept her dominent position and thought of her response, eyeing the wolf and looking him over thoroughly. He seemed young and in good shape, definately an asset. "Well, I am looking for pack members, but I don't take just anyone. We don't cause trouble here, and try our best to live peacefully. Do you have any skills?" She asked, thinking of how she could put the wolf to work to prove himself. Bluestar was very selective when it came to choosing pack members. She needed all her members to be protective and to haul their own weight. Hopefully this brute could fill the position.
